The Event

The Metaverse was Sara Zhang’s idea, Head of Human resources at Hytech. The avid director made the event look like a Christmas gathering to increase the number of visits to the space. More than 950 employees attended the event and redeemed over 3,000 NFTs. The HR director says the launch was essential to build a community for its employees within the massive organization. She iterated that the company’s employees are from diverse sectors of the globe, isolating them from the collective by distance.

She added that bringing their employees together in one virtual landscape was essential to create a sense of belonging to organizations so that they can have the same purpose and goals that transcend the office buildings.

According to the firm, the employees come from different countries around the globe, and the time zones create a challenge when teams have to discuss and create solutions. However, the firm believes that the virtual gathering provides a unique opportunity to let the employees utilize technology to maximize efficiency. Sara believes that this event is just a stepping stone and that they will build on it to create a workable ecosystem.

The Potential of Metaverse Events

It is possible that metaverse events, such as the ones hosted by Hytech, will become more widespread as technology advances and virtual reality becomes more accessible. With the success of Hytech’s recent Dinner and Dance event in the metaverse, more and more businesses and organizations are seeing the potential for using virtual events to bring employees together, improve efficiency, and save on costs.

One of the benefits of metaverse events is that they eliminate the need for physical travel, which can be time-consuming and costly. This fact is especially useful for businesses with employees across different regions or countries. By hosting events in a virtual setting, companies like Hytech can bring their employees together in a single location, regardless of their physical location.
