One of the NBA superstars, LeBron James, has entered into a deal with Crypto.com. This is a welcome development in the crypto community. The basketball player has a family foundation called “I Promise program”. As a result of this partnership, the cryptocurrency exchange will take part in the activities of the foundation and will lecture children on Web version 3.0 and cryptocurrency in general.

Details Of The Partnership 

As reported by a local newspaper in the hometown of the superstar, Akron Beach, the cryptocurrency firm will educate the children on the career opportunities that are available in the crypto industry.

LeBron James noted to the local newspaper that the purpose of the partnership was that the community was carried along in the cryptocurrency revolution that is ravaging all sectors of the world. The cryptocurrency firm will provide the children with the tools and knowledge that will prepare them for the future of crypto.

The superstar has won the NBA championship four times and sees this as an opportunity to bring development to the children in his hometown. LeBron and Crypto.com will work together to help actualize this dream.

According to the CEO of Crypto.com, Kris Marszalek, the company is happy to work with the superstar and the family foundation. Kris believes that the same program can be extended to other communities to help more people. As of the time of this report, more than 1600 children have registered with the foundation and will benefit from the program. 

It has not been long since Crypto.com struck a deal worth over $700 million. This deal which will last for 20 years gives the company the right to name the Staples Center. The Staples Center is a home stadium for the Clippers and Lakers team in the NBA, and also the Sparks in the WNBA.

Crypto.com is known for making huge marketing moves in the sports industry. Another stride they have taken is to involve Matt Damon, a famous actor in a TV commercial.

Other Crypto Companies Entering The Sport Industry

Crypto.com is not the only cryptocurrency exchange that is gaining visibility by delving into the sports industry. Crypto giants such as FTX, Coinage, and Binance are now in the sports arena. Within the United States, the official digital asset of the NBA is Coinbase while FTX has successfully entered into a partnership with MLB. Outside of the United States, Binance is taking giant strides by being part of the major sponsors of the 2022 African Cup of Nations.
