In this case, the Metaverse concept is adopted for viewers to have multiple ways of interacting with others throughout the game.
Additionally, the organizers will offer viewers free NFTs that can be redeemed for merchandise and the chance to meet players. Viewers can choose to hold the non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as investments during the tournament.
Moreover, fans who hope to experience the tournament can visit the competition’s website or choose to watch the game on YouTube.
Export Industry Focus is on the Metaverse
The world of Sport is warming up to the virtual world as the Metaverse continues to attract more people.
In the early days of the month, the Global Esport Federation created a Metaverse committee to drive Metaverse development. This is to produce exceptional Metaverse initiatives for the global Esport community.
The newly created Metaverse council consists of blockchain experts, NFT creators, and social media influencers. The Council is aimed at developing ideas to shape the Esport Metaverse experience.
Commenting further on why Esport is making the Metaverse its priority, the Council’s chair, Hugo Philion, stated that it represents an opportunity. Esport wants to take gaming to the virtual space, and the Metaverse is the final destination for the company to enter.
The move will bring added marketability to the company, according to Philion.
Additionally, Philion noted that Esport is on an ambitious move, and the company has endless growth opportunities. According to the Council’s chair, the application of Blockchain technology will undoubtedly accelerate the company’s growth.
The emergence of the Metaverse came at a time when most of the world was going virtual. Every major activity is now shifted in part to the virtual ecosystem.
The hosting of the first FIFA tournament in the Metaverse will usher in another positive development in the gaming industry.
